Welcome. I’m Charles Fox. This isn’t a business site or a brand — this site is personal, for the people scattered across a lot of different chapters of my life who I’d like to keep in the loop: family, old friends, former coworkers, whoever wandered in.
This is that front door, and it isn’t polished. What you’ll find here is close to what I’d tell you over coffee: what this year’s career transition has actually looked like, what a long-shot furniture business run out of my basement looks like from the inside, why I flew to Ohio to fly model airplanes with an old friend, and photos of a grandbaby who arrived right in the middle of all of it. I’m not trying to build an audience or sell you anything (well, except maybe eventually some hand-built picture frames, which I’ll be upfront about when that happens). I just have people scattered across a lot of years and a lot of life, and this is easier than a dozen separate group texts.
Come back when you want an update. I’ll try to make it worth the trip.
— Charles
Now, just for kicks… see if you can find the obvious clues that this content was written by Claude. Those of you who know me well will immediately see multiple writing affectations that are common for AI and that I never use. Oddly, I have told Claude to not do what he did on this page. After reading what he wrote I started to delete it and re-write, and then I thought that making it a search and find for the three of you who show up here would make it more fun. Eventually I will show you the clues and maybe, just maybe, I will re-write the whole page.
